KYLEMORE HOUSE HONOURS RESIDENTS WITH  “12 LIVES”  BOOK LAUNCH

Ruth Behan, Proprietor of Kylemore House Nursing Home & Day Care Centre in Bray, has launched a new book entitled “12 Lives”.  The book is a selection of short stories from some of the clients who have attended the nursing home and day care centre over the years.   It is a celebration of their wonderful and often forgotten lives.

The book launched on Tuesday 20^th January in the Mermaid Arts Centre, Bray.  Special guests included RTE Sports Personality George Hamilton and renowned Irish actress Geraldine Plunkett, both of whom gave insightful readings to over 200 guests. 

“My sincere thanks to everyone who supported this project especially my playwright sister, Iris Park, who edited and recorded the stories.   Thanks also to Central Press, to the shops and local organisations who have agreed to distribute “12 Lives” and to the wonderful staff and residents at Kylemore House who make it such a great place. ”

   All proceeds from the sale of “12 Lives” will go to the Alzheimer's Society
